 We hope you will enjoy the Peony Sweater top which is designed by Marie Wallin. Marie has created this design with Damask and Silk Kid Haze. This is the fourth sweater in this collection and it is simply gorgeous.
We need to apologize to several people who came to see this mini show which turned out to be a no show. We were supposed to receive the sweaters on Thursday April 26th but someone goofed badly and they did not arrive until last night, May 1st. A special apology to Estelle and Kay who drove here 47 miles one way only to be very disappointed. Perhaps during the days of 80 cents a gallon for gasoline would not have been as important but at the present prices, it is a very important matter. |

Each mini show will have 3 or 4 sweaters featuring new designs and new yarns or new colors from the Rowan Design Company. The 'SUNSHINE' design shown herewith is designed by Marie Wallin and uses the incredibly popular Summer Tweed yarn. Summer Tweed is the perfect yarn for Southern California. It is made from 70% silk and 30% cotton. Everyone loves this yarn and those of you who have not worked with it, then you may have missed out on something worthwhile. |

Anny Blatt & Bouton d'Or Model Sweater Sale

| We have 29 beautiful Anny Blatt or Bouton d'Or sweater models that were used in various trunk shows during the last season. These sweaters are in very good condition and, in fact, some calls came in while we were still posting these images. In a high end boutique, some of these sweaters would sell for very high prices. Rather than trying to figure out a fair price based on our cost and also based on the cost of the yarn that is in each sweater plus the knitting labor to knit them, we decided to have the same price for any one of them. Quite naturally, those that are loaded with angora, muguet, and fourrure will sell out first.

Trunk Shows
| We have scheduled several Trunk Shows over the next few months.
ROWAN DESIGNER COMPANY- an ongoing mini Trunk Show. We are receiving 3 to 4 garments every two weeks. ANDEAN INSPIRED KNITS- Helen Hamann's Irresistible Bolero- Working with Interweave Knits, the publishers of the popular Andean Knits, we will be receiving this gorgeous Bolero. You will be impressed with Helen Hamann's design book which uses Peruvian Alpaca. The Bolero will be exhibited until mid April. Top quality alpaca has recently enjoyed a resurgence which is due, in part, to the scarcity of top quality cashmere. ANNY BLATT SWEATER COLLECTION- this collection will be featuring designs from the current Anny Blatt and Bouton d'Or books. It is a large collection of at least 20 to 25 sweaters. It is scheduled for Thursday March 28 thru Sunday April 1st. Velona's is always a showcase of great designs. Among other things Velona's has about 150 scarves on display, numerous felted hats , bags, and clogs as well as numerous afghans, sweaters, knitted bags, and more. |
